This website is the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) City Campus Master Plan community portal.

Throughout the site you can find relevant information about the UTS City Campus Master Plan, ask us questions and tell us what you think of key projects such as the UTS Broadway Building designed by architects Denton Corker Marshall and the Dr Chau Chak Wing Building designed by world acclaimed architect, Frank Gehry. As other projects are exhibited for community consultation, they will also be posted here.

These projects are ambitious, visionary plans that will give Sydney a transformed and reinvigorated southern CBD area. This revitalisation will benefit the whole community.

The UTS City Campus Master Plan is a vision to deliver an iconic and connected campus that supports the university's vision to become a world-leading university of technology.
Located at the heart of the city campus, the new UTS student housing tower will contribute to the City Campus Master Plan’s vision of creating a vibrant campus life. The campus of the future will become a destination for staff, students and visitors alike.
Due to open in 2012, the student housing tower will be not only a vibrant place to study but a place to call home. With over 700 new beds, including studio and apartment-style accommodation, students can enjoy a pedestrian-friendly setting with stunning views of Sydney’s CBD.
UTS will showcase teaching, research and industry engagement spaces that reflect its position at the cutting edge of creativity and technology. The upgrade to the university’s Great Hall will completely reinvent UTS's largest and most important ceremonial venue.
The new Sports Hall will be the first project to be completed under the City Campus Master Plan at the end of March 2011. The new facility will provide recreational and academic opportunities for the UTS community. As its name suggests, features will include a state of the art indoor sports court with connecting tutorial and change rooms. A gym and dance studio will also feature on a mezzanine level above the court.
The new UTS Broadway Building building is just one centrepiece of UTS’ ambitious City Campus Master Plan, focused on creating a dynamic environment for students, staff and the community, connecting the local neighbourhood to the UTS education precinct.
Future home to the UTS Faculty of Engineering and IT, the Broadway Building will become a landmark gateway building, helping to redefine the approach to the southern Sydney CBD.
Valued at $170 million, the development will comprise approximately 27,000sqm and will provide teaching, learning, research and office accommodation for the UTS Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology.
